Polyurethanes represent one of the most performing categories of polymers, used in a large variety of uses in everyday life. Over the years, Vencorex has constantly sought new solutions to push products performance boundaries and help its customers tackling new challenges.
As an example, Vencorex R&D teams have investigated the interest of a new bifunctional polymeric isocyanate in the design of Thermoplastic Urethanes (TPU) and Polyurethane Dispersions (PUD) molecular structures.
This building block, “One of a kind in the Polyurethane Tool box” will be introduced in a lecture given by Philippe Olier, Application Lab Manager (Vencorex France), during the European Coatings Congress in Nuremberg (Germany), on 19th of March.
About Vencorex: Vencorex is the owner of technologies and a major manufacturer of aliphatic isocyanates (Tolonate™ and Easaqua™, HDI, IPDI), and supplier of aromatic TDI (Scuranate™) used in coatings, adhesives, elastomers and inks formulations. Vencorex has manufacturing sites in France, USA and Thailand, laboratories in France and China and a worldwide commercial presence. Vencorex is a JV between PTT Global Chemical, Asia’s leading integrated petrochemical company and the Perstorp Group, world leader in specialty chemicals market.

Vencorex Tolonate™ product range from Pont de Claix is compliant with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
Vencorex is proud to announce that its Tolonate™ range of products from Pont de Claix (France) plant are now manufactured according to GMP guidelines.
GMP compliance is mandatory for products used in the manufacture of plastic materials and articles intended to come in contact with food. The implementation of GMP allows Vencorex to reach a higher level of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems and in this way to better answer customers’ demands and expectations in terms of high-quality products, and also regulatory requirements.
“This is key for Vencorex development and growth strategy to invest in GMP implementation. The completion of this project will be beneficial not only to our customers active in food contact applications, but to all our customers” said Eugénie Charrière Global Marketing & Strategy Director.
“This high quality standard for our Tolonate™ range manufactured in Pont de Claix site has been obtained thanks to an excellent team work. We aim to deploy this type of project to other Vencorex plants in the future” said Laurent Peyrot, VP Operation and Supply chain for Vencorex.
Vencorex is really proud to receive for the third time EcoVadis CSR Gold Medal. With this Gold medal, Vencorex ranks among top 1% in the category Manufacturer of basic chemicals, fertilizers and nitrogen compounds, plastics and synthetic rubber in industry.
“This reward shows the fundamental commitment of Vencorex in CSR performances. Another very good example of Vencorex commitment is the ISO 50001 certification that our latest plant in Thailand received this year. I am very proud of Vencorex employees involvement in continuous improvement and sustainable development. ” concludes Xavier Fournier CEO of Vencorex.
