Vencorex will present its range of Easaqua™ aliphatic polyisocyanates, specifically designed for 2K waterborne polyurethane coatings, at the European Coatings Show 2023 in Nuremberg Germany.
The use of 2K waterborne polyurethanes has been increasing in the past years, with the growing need to develop environmentally friendly solutions to replace older, higher VOC technologies. 2K waterborne PU formulations are often used in demanding applications, where formulators have to select the best combination of resin and crosslinker to achieve the desired properties.
Marc Cornick, Market Development Manager at Vencorex, will present the key benefits of selected Easaqua™ grades and provide recommendations for different applications with the wood coatings area, e.g. to obtain high gloss and / or fast drying properties. He will also introduce the new Easaqua™ X M 505 crosslinker, which is the best choice for matt finishes, showing outstanding chemical resistance.

Vencorex is investing in its Freeport site in Texas to meet the rising demand for specialty aliphatic isocyanates used in the production of low VOC polyurethane coatings and adhesives.
The kick-off ceremony for the investment project, part of the Vencorex growth strategy in North America, took place in June 2022 in the presence of several executive members of Vencorex and its shareholder, PTT GC Group.
“This project will bring additional supply reliability to fulfill the growing demand for specialty aliphatic polyisocyanates in the US market. It shows our commitment to enhancing regional production” said Xavier Fournier, President of Vencorex.
“It also contributes to strengthen Vencorex’ position in the North American market and to better serve our customers with local sourcing of specialty materials” added Jason Williams, Sales Director, North America at Vencorex US, Inc.
The new facility is expected to become operational in the second half of 2023.
