As an example, Vencorex R&D teams have investigated the interest of a new bifunctional polymeric isocyanate in the design of Thermoplastic Urethanes (TPU) and Polyurethane Dispersions (PUD) molecular structures.
This building block, “One of a kind in the Polyurethane Tool box” will be introduced in a lecture given by Philippe Olier, Application Lab Manager (Vencorex France), during the European Coatings Congress in Nuremberg (Germany), on 19th of March.

Vencorex Tolonate™ product range from Pont de Claix is compliant with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
Vencorex is proud to announce that its Tolonate™ range of products from Pont de Claix (France) plant are now manufactured according to GMP guidelines.
GMP compliance is mandatory for products used in the manufacture of plastic materials and articles intended to come in contact with food. The implementation of GMP allows Vencorex to reach a higher level of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems and in this way to better answer customers’ demands and expectations in terms of high-quality products, and also regulatory requirements.
“This is key for Vencorex development and growth strategy to invest in GMP implementation. The completion of this project will be beneficial not only to our customers active in food contact applications, but to all our customers” said Eugénie Charrière Global Marketing & Strategy Director.

Vencorex welcomed a delegation led by His Excellency Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Ambassador of Thailand in France.
The visit was introduced by Sutin Chamulitrat, VP Sales and Marketing and Pascal Lecroq, HR and Communication Director.
They explained that Vencorex is fully supported by the Thai group GC, especially on all the investments engaged during last years.
This visit was informal, but integrated with an official program, dedicated to new business opportunities between France and Thailand.
Visitors were particularly interested by the technicity of the plant, implementation possibilities and presence of high-level universities and R&D centers in the Grenoble area.

They were received by Xavier Fournier, Vencorex CEO, Christophe Dansette, Pont De Claix site Director and Philippe Barbeau, New Business Development Director. The aim of the meeting was to discuss actuality such as EHS issues, regulation evolution that affect our industry, or training and recruitment of students, in a more and more tight labor market. The visit on the fields was focused on major investments made by Vencorex during last years, especially on chlorine production (new electrolysis plant) and the development of specialties isocyanates. “We thank all the teams in Pont-de-Claix for their warm welcome. This visit was really interesting and we were very happy to discover a site with a strong growth momentum” says Philippe Prudhon.
