With more than 60 years of experience in the production of isocyanates, Vencorex celebrates its 10th year of existence. Initially formed as a joint venture between PTT GC, a major Thai petrochemical company, and the Swedish group Perstorp, June 2022 marked the date of becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of PTT GC.
Over these past 10 years, Vencorex has taken an accelerated path forward by means of an industrial transformation and strategic development, focusing on the production of aliphatic isocyanates.
In order to support the ever-increasing growth of the Polyurethane (PU) Coatings and Adhesives markets, Vencorex has made significant investments in its manufacturing sites, doubling production capacities in Pont De Claix (France) and Freeport, TX (USA), and in 2016 constructing a new plant in Rayong, Thailand to better serve the Asian market.
In our firm commitment to sustainable development, Vencorex has launched new products that reduce or even eliminate Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) from our customers’ formulations: these products include the Easaqua™ range of products, dedicated to waterborne PU coatings and adhesives, and the Tolonate™ LV (“Low Viscosity”) grades facilitating the production of a solvent-free polyurethane.
True to the CORE Values of Creativity, Open-Mindedness, Responsibility, and Excellence, and a focused approach to Global Social and Environmental Responsibility, Vencorex was awarded the EcoVadis Platinum Medal, the highest award level, in both 2021 and 2022. This top ranking positioned our organization in the top 1% of the best performing companies in respect to management of the Environment, Social & Human Rights, Ethics, and Responsible Purchasing.
In the last 10 years, Vencorex has accelerated a transformation to become a world leader in aliphatic isocyanates, an accomplishment that would not have been possible without a firm commitment from our teams across the globe, the capabilities of our manufacturing plants, and a solid partnership with our customers to address new challenges together.
